2007-08-13 : fsync without recursion?
Is it possible to tell fsync not to recurse subdirectories?
Also, in April response to Rachel you mention adding a command to create .fsync database without having to run upload. Has that happened?

Hi Paul, The current version of Fsync always recurses into subdirectories. However, you can exclude subdirectories by including a unique part of the subdirectoy name using the exclude (-x) option. For example to exclude the secret subdirectories regardless of where they are in the directory tree, use -x "secret". Yes Fsync does now support creating a local database. The latest demo should allow the CREATE command to be used instead of the UPLOAD command to create a .fsync database on the local machine. |

I'm using the demo version I downloaded yesterday from your site. I use a batchfile to drive the command. Below is the output I get.
d:PortableAppsFsyncfsync CREATE *.* -u ftp://username:password*siteaddress.us usage: fsync [upload|status] filelist fsync: error: Not a valid command from (['STATUS', 'UPLOAD']) Do I have something wrong in the command? |

Oops. Our mistake, it appears that the demo on the web site was not the latest version. I have uploaded the latest demo now so please try downloading it again. Also it is not necessary to have the -u option, the CREATE command works on the local files.
